Inspiration From Phily

I have a new hero. Right up there with Richard (swoon) Heinberg and Rob (swoon) Hopkins, now comes Paul (swoon) Glover,

What a great article proposing a great, green future for Philadelphia! From "Yes We Can" to "Now We Do." A look at the challenges, next steps, local heroes already at work, world champions modeling great projects, and a big picture view in food, fuel, housing, health care, money, water, transport, jobs, business & industry, government, public safety, education, and culture. Maybe we should all move to Phily!

Favorites lines:

Green means we'll all be comfortable. No behind left chill[ed].

Dollars control people; local currency connects people.

Clean water is becoming more valuable than gold. Nobody shits on gold.

To risk your life for your country, ride a bike.

We'll advance from jobs managing damage to jobs creating a beautiful city worthy of beautiful children.

Public safety is secured by creating safety nets for food, fuel, housing and health care. Neighborhood watch instead of neighborhood watch TV. People who are respected, loved and secure do not kill.

Parachute clowns into parks.
